I called the resort several days after getting home to express some of the disappointment about our stay and the front desk manager Lucas literally turned it around on me and said that I should have told them about the issues during my stay, some of which I didn't know about until later on. Several members of the staff seemed annoyed by me asking questions, questions for information that should have been provided at or before check-in. I shouldn't have to wash hotel/resort towels on my vacation. ![]() So we had the same wash cloths and towels four nights. I requested a towel refreshment half way through our stay and my request was never met. ![]() The pool temp was very warm, but that is expected in the keys. Very strange for a resort pool to not be open longer, especially on a weekend. The pool closed promptly at sunset, which was disappointing because we just wanted to cool off after being on the boat all day. The barn door in the second bedroom fell off the hinge multiple times onto my 8 year old. Several of the slider door locks were broken. During the day the room was extremely hot if we opened the curtains. We had to keep the thermostat set at 65 for the room to get to a comfortable temp at night. The air conditioning could barely keep up. There was little to no wi-fi which meant our phones couldn't connect and neither could the streaming services so there was no tv for the time there. The ruts in the mattress were so deep that we woke up with horrible back pain everyday and had to schedule chiropractic appointments when we got home. The master bedroom mattress was horrendous. The shower had very low pressure because most of the water pressure was coming out of the tub faucet while showering. There was only enough hot water for one shower. We bought donuts on our way there and the next morning they were covered in ants. The kitchen faucet was literally falling off the sink. The icemaker was turned off when we arrived so we didn't have ice until the second day of our stay. The outdated refrigerator did not keep our food very cold. I requested our room be next to our other party and the request was not granted. After being in the car with two children for eight hours this was a huge inconvenience since it added an additional hour and a half of them sitting in the car unnecessarily. We were told "Did you not see the big (approx 12") sign?" We were sent to the marina to check-in our boat first before being allowed to check-in to the hotel. ![]() Upon arrival we drove up to the gate and the gate attendant was extremely condescending and rude.
